He didn't have a nap all day and wouldn't/couldn't fall asleep on the airplane so he was up until midnight. He slept a few minutes on the car ride home (thanks Kim and Joe for taking time out of the middle of your night to come pick us up in Baltimore :) but woke up as Cory carried him into the house. On Josh's birthday he figured out that he could climb out of the pack and play so when we brought him home he thought he could do the same thing with his crib. So not even 5 seconds after we shut his door for bed we heard a big crash and ran in to find Josh had fallen out right onto his head. By this time it was after 1am so I just took his mattress out of his crib and set it on the floor where he slept the rest of the night. The next day I installed a crib tent on his bed and he's slept great/fall free ever since.

Christmas and New Year's
I didn't do a very good job over the holidays of taking pictures. We mostly did video so someday I plan to figure out how to cut and post video (I'm pretty sure you all don't want to watch big clips of our holiday movies). In the mean time here are just a few pics to tide you over :)
Josh and Dylan
Maddie, Grandma and Grandpa Steve
During our trip out West we were able to stay at Liz & Mike's house where we had a super fun birthday party for Josh, watched movies and had a great time hanging out. We stayed at the Kaysville house and had fun hanging out with Shell and got to see the Dansie's then went down to Spanish Fork to stay with my Mom & Steve and visit with Jer & Jen. We traveled up to Idaho for Christmas to stay with Cory's family. On the way up we stopped to say hello to Grandpa Jurgensmeier, Barbara and Steve. In Idaho we got to see almost everyone (we missed you Erik, Dawn and Elizabeth), played tons of games, ate yummy food and celebrated Christmas. On the way home from Idaho we stopped in Logan and had a wonderful stay with Darin & Alicia and got to visit with Todd & Kath over Darin & Alicia's famous homemade pizza. Over New Year's we stayed in Bear Lake with my Mom & Steve and Tim & Steph where the kids went sledding and the guys went shooting while us girls relaxed. We loved every moment that we got to spend with family. Thank you everyone for taking such great care of us! We miss you all and can't wait to come back in a few months!
Josh and Sophia-best of friends
Josh's best friend is Sophia from next door. We're really going to miss Val, Rob and Sophia when we all move on to residency.

Santa Claus is coming to town...AND WE GOT TO SEE HIM!
This morning we decided to bravely venture out in the rain and snow to see Santa. We drove to the mall, jumped on the train and went to Santa's Workshop at President's Park. Inside Santa's workshop we got to see presents, elves, a train, letters to Santa and of course the big guy himself! Josh wasn't too sure about sitting on his lap but after some coaxing from me he sat on his lap and said, "choo, choo train please" they took his picture (we got a free 5x7) then Josh hopped down and sweetly said "Merry Christmas" Santa then leaned over and gave Josh a hug wishing him Merry Christmas and a sweet I love you. It was a great experience! Thanks Val and Sophia for braving the freezing, cold weather with us!My crazy monkeys
Knoxville, Tennessee
Josh and I got to go with Cory to Knoxville for an interview he had a few days before Thanksgiving. We had a great time and loved the city!
The World's Fair park with the convention center behind (that's what the ball looking building is). The World's Fair was held in Knoxville in 1982.
The view from our hotel window. This is actually the back of the art museum and is right by the World's Fair park.
Josh and Abby
Josh has a little friend, Abby, who is about a month older than him. They love to get together and play! One day as Abby's mom, Karen, and I were following them around outside they decided it would be fun to sit in this doorway. Well, I saw a cute photo in the making so I ran to grab my camera and was able to get a few shots before they moved on to their next adventure.
