Family Pics

We took advantage of the nice weather we've been having here and headed out behind our apartment on Saturday afternoon to take some family pictures.

Halloween

This year for Halloween I bought Josh a super cute dragon costume from Old Navy. Well, he had other ideas about dressing up. He cried and cried when I made him try it on. I felt bad making him wear it so I took it back. I came across some Buzz Lightyear and Woody pajamas and thought they would be perfect for a costume. He wore the Buzz PJ's to our ward Halloween party and the Woody PJ's for a Halloween party we went to on Halloween. Josh thought that trick-or-treating was the coolest thing ever! He followed all the older kids around and went to every house they did. He ended up with more than enough candy. After trick-or-treating we headed back to our friends' house for a fun party and amazing food. Thanks Tyson and Alyson for a great time!
I took tons of pics but they are not on my card so I am hoping they are on the other computer and not totally lost.

Cox Farms

Today we met some friends at Cox Farms. This place is amazing, it has so many fun things to do. The highlights of our day were the hayride, the trains, the baby animals, apples/apple cider, exploring with friends, and picking our pumpkin. Oh and did I mention the tractors!

My first attempt at panning
Josh picked out a great pumpkin for us, but was a little upset about carrying it. We had a great day! Thanks Karen, Aaron, Abby and Rachel for joining us.

Fun filled weekend

This past weekend we drove over 1,000 miles and were in 5 different states. We left Friday morning and drove to Cleveland, Ohio where Cory had an interview on Saturday. While Cory was at a dinner with the residents Friday night Josh and I had our own little pizza party at the hotel. Then on Saturday morning we headed to the Children's Museum of Cleveland. At the museum they had different exhibits that were designed for play and learning. Josh and I played there for almost 3 hours.

On Saturday afternoon we headed to Charleston, WV to stay for the night then woke up Sunday morning to drive to Roanoke, VA where Cory interviewed on Monday. Sunday night Cory went to a fancy dinner with the residents at The Hotel Roanoke which he said was gorgeous inside. On Monday while Cory was interviewing Josh and I were taken on a great tour of the area. The trees had all turned colors and the view from the top of the mountain was amazing!

When you don't feel good...

it's nice to have your friends around for support

Hershey, PA

Last month we went to Hershey, PA to visit Cory's brother and his family. We stayed with Darin, Linsy and Tate for the weekend. They took us to see Chocolate World where they have a cool ride you can go on to learn how they make chocolate and where you can buy any Hershey treat you can imagine.

Josh and Tate loved playing together with all of Tate's fun toys.
They even got to eat at their own little table.
We also took the kids to play at the Cocoa Castle. Check out this playground!

Josh just wanted to drive this car the whole time.
Darin pushing Tate on the swings.

We also got to visit Darin, Linsy, Tate and meet cute little baby Beau this last weekend but I forgot to take pics.

Building Museum

Today Val and I took the kids to the National Building Museum. They have a room called the Building Zone which is full of trucks, trains, tools, blocks and a little house. Josh and Sophia played and played. We ate a quick lunch then let the kids run around while we took some pics of the many arches. The building is amazing and beautiful inside and out!
